BARSTOW, Calif. – A 44-year-old Barstow man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sale and transportation of a controlled substance on Wednesday.
At around 1:28 p.m. Barstow Station detectives stopped a vehicle near Yucca Avenue and Kelly Drive for expired tags. The driver, later identified as Foster Lee Scott, stopped his vehicle and the detectives made contact with him. After conducting a record check, they learned that Scott was on felony probation and also out on bail for the sales and transportation of narcotics.
The detectives conducted a probation search of Scott and found a large clear bag of suspected methamphetamine. Inside the bag, there were smaller clear plastic bags, also containing suspected methamphetamine. Additional clear plastic baggies consistent with packaging for sales of drugs and a large sum of money was also found. Scott was arrested and booked into jail.
