RIVERSIDE – A man was located floating in Fairmount Park on Saturday morning. At around 10:17 a.m. the Riverside Police Department dispatch received a call reporting a subject floating in the water at the park located at 2601 Fairmount Boulevard in the City of Riverside.
Emergency responders arrived to locate the fully clothed white man, floating face down in the smaller runoff pond along the north shore of Lake Evans inside the park. Fire personnel retrieved the body of the man who was determined to be deceased. Through preliminary investigation the cause of death was unknown with no obvious signs of foul play.
Coroner’s officials will determine the identity and cause of death. Anyone with information regarding this investigation should contact Detective Rick Cobb at (951) 353-7135.
