HESPERIA – An employee with the California Department of Water Resources discovered a body in the California Aqueduct on Thursday afternoon authorities said. The body was found east of Los Flores Road and Summit Valley Road in the City of Hesperia near the Mojave Siphon Powerplant. The employee reported the finding at around 2:45 p.m.
When California Highway Patrol officers arrived they confirmed the discovery was in-fact a body. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team recovered the body at around 3:07 p.m. The name or sex of the person has not been released. The body was collected by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner, who will determine the identity of the person and the cause of death.
