VICTORVILLE – A 14-year-old Victorville boy was shot in the hip by an airsoft BB gun Sunday night.
At around 8:00 p.m. the Black male juvenile left his home, located in the 12200 block of Jasmine Court to chase his dog, who had escaped from his yard. The chase led the boy to the back of the Food 4 Less store on Bear Valley Road.
“At the location, the victim saw a black, compact sedan, occupied by two white males,” said Victorville Sheriff’s station spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said. “The passenger in the vehicle shot an airsoft gun at the victim, hitting him in the hip.”
As the vehicle left while continuing to shoot out of the window, the victim reported that the men yelled, “white power”. The victim was treated by responding medics. No suspects have been located as of the afternoon of Monday, October 24, 2016.
