VICTORVILLE – Are you looking to purchase a Victorville home? Are the down payment and closing costs stopping you? The City of Victorville wants to help with down payment and closing cost assistance of up to $55,000 for first-time buyers. This is a loan that will not be payable for 30 years with 3% interest. This funding is available on a first come, first-serve basis for those who qualify.
To qualify the first mortgage must be with a City of Victorville approved lender and the property must be a primary residence. Property value must not exceed $260,000 and single-family homes, condominiums, and townhomes are all eligible. The borrower must contribute 1% of the purchase price and must attend an 8-hour first-time buyer education class.
