RIVERSIDE – A man was located dead by railroad tracks in the 3600 block of Merrill Avenue, in the Magnolia Center neighborhood of Riverside very early on Saturday morning.
Authorities said that the report was made at around 3:40 a.m. reporting a possible dead body lying next to railroad tracks. When police and fire department personnel arrived, they located the deceased male adult and determined that he was in fact, deceased. The cause of death is unknown at this time and his death is being investigated. There are no signs of foul play and detectives believe that the victim may have died as a result of suicide. The body was collected by the Riverside County Coroner’s office where the cause of death and identity of the deceased will be determined.
