RANCHO CUCAMONGA – The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department showcased a job well-done by a deputy and his K9 partner. Although the incident occurred last November, the incident was shared this week. Deputy Pederson stopped a vehicle, during the stop K9 Smokey alerted Deputy Pederson of the possible presence of narcotics inside the stopped vehicle.
Deputy Pederson investigated the alert and located over 20 pounds of methamphetamine. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for the sales and transportation of methamphetamine. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center. The Rancho Cucamonga station officials said that Deputy Pederson and K9 smokey, in the two years partnered up have seized over 100 pounds of narcotics.
