HESPERIA – A former campus assistant at Sultana High School has been charged with annoying or molesting minors and distributing pornography to a minor.
Jamie Edward Noble, 31, has been charged with two counts each of annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18 and distributing pornography to a minor. Noble pleaded not guilty to all charges at the Victorville Superior Court on Thursday, April 27, 2017.
The original arrest was made on February 27, 2017, during which time the Hesperia Unified School District (HUSD) terminated his employment. Noble worked at the school for over three years according to David Olney the HUSD superintendent. The reported incidents lasted from March of 2016 through February 2017, with one of the female minors being victimized for two months and the second for nearly one year.
Despite rumors and false reports, Noble was not charged with molesting minors. The charge is annoying or molesting minors meaning the defendant allegedly made sexually suggestive comments or actions, which do not include physically touching the minors inappropriately. These actions according to the criminal complaint appear to have been a result of distributing the pornography to the two female juveniles.
Through investigation, including a search of Noble’s home, evidence was collected to corroborate the victim’s reports sheriff’s officials said. Noble has retained an attorney and is currently out on bail. HUSD officials stress that Noble has not and will not be allowed back on campus. Noble is scheduled to appear back in court on Monday, June 5, 2017.
