REDLANDS – Approximately 25 wedding reception guests suddenly fell ill in an unincorporated area of Redland in Riverside County.
On Saturday, September 8, 2018, at around 8:30 p.m., deputies from the Cabazon station and CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to the 31100 block of San Timoteo Canyon Road for when several guests at a wedding reception fell ill. Firefighters immediately began treating guests who suffered from nausea, vomiting, and general weakness. The guests were transported to area hospitals. As a result of the unknown cause of the illness, the Riverside County Environmental Health and Hazmat Crews responded. No immediate hazardous materials were found.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department investigators have assumed the investigation with the assistance of the Riverside County Health Department to determine what caused the widespread illness to the wedding guests.
