MENIFEE – A male motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision with a vehicle.
On Tuesday, September 10, 2018, at 11:18 p.m., deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to a sedan versus motorcycle collision on Newport Road in Menifee. The driver of the other vehicle stopped to cooperate with the investigation. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs are a factor in the investigation. The investigation is ongoing, no other information is available at this time. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
Eastbound Newport Road will remain closed for several hours between Menifee Road and Calle Pompeii for the investigation. Meanwhile, authorities are asking that motorists take alternate routes as the traffic team conducts an investigation.
