REDLANDS, Calif. – A 50-year-old Yucaipa man is behind bars for a stabbing that left one man hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials said that on May 15, 2019, at around 2:39 p.m., deputies from the Cabazon Station responded to the 29000 block of San Timoteo Canyon Road, in Redlands, for the report of a person stabbed. When they arrived they learned that a 50-year-old male victim was stabbed during an altercation at a nearby home. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Fernando Garcia fled the location prior to the deputies arriving. An area search was conducted and Garcia was located and taken into custody. He was booked into the Smith Correctional Facility for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
