TUCSON, AZ. – A dozen non-citizens were found in a mobile home in Nogales, Arizona on Friday night. The Mexican nationals were located at the Mi Casa Trailer Park in a small trailer. Agents became aware of the situation when a caller reported that the ten women and two women, ages 19-42-years-old were being held in the trailer by two smugglers. GPS coordinates provided by the caller were used to pinpoint the location of the mobile home.
The twelve subjects, none who required medical attention, were transported to the Nogales Station to be processed for immigration violations. “Smugglers continue to victimize illegal immigrants by exposing them to dangerous situations, including confinement for long periods of time,” said U.S. Custom and Border Protection officials.
