ALHAMBRA – A woman survived a terrifying ordeal when her ex-boyfriend shoved her into a car, assaulted her, and then threatened to kill her. Alberto Castillas, 37, of East Los Angeles reportedly went to his ex-girlfriend’s Duarte home on Wednesday May 3, 2017. He parked his vehicle in front of her Duarte home and then forced her into his vehicle, threatening to hurt her if she attempted to get out.
Castillas then went to his home in East Los Angeles. The incident was reported by a witness District Attorney officials said. Officers quickly arrived to Castillas’ home and found the victim injured on the driveway. Castillas was arrested as a result of the incident and now faces three felony accounts which include kidnapping, injuring a girlfriend and making criminal threats. The defendant has a previous conviction as a result of criminal threats made in 2010. If convicted as charged, Castillas will face 24 years in state prison.
