VICTORVILLE – A homeless man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon for stabbing a man during a fight officials said.
At around 4:25 p.m. deputies were flagged down by a citizen in the area of Anacapa and Amargosa Roads in the City of Victorville. The deputy stopped and made contact with the victim, who had been stabbed during the fight. Christopher Houstachenko was seen fleeing the area on foot. The deputy pursued Houstachenko on foot and was able to take him into custody without any further incident.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Thursday afternoon.
