TWENTYNINE PALMS – A 25-year-old Twentynine Palms felon was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm, stolen property, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
On Monday, March 12, 2018, at around 2:09 p.m., deputies responded to the 69000 block of Mesa Verde Road, in Twentynine Palms, in response to the report of a stolen vehicle. Jeremy Shannon, a career criminal, was identified as a possible suspect and was located in the 71000 block of Indian Trail.
When they made contact with Shannon, he was wearing a bulletproof vest and was in possession of a stolen firearm. After further investigation, multiple rounds of ammunition and items that were stolen from the victim’s stolen vehicle were found on Shannon’s person.Also found in Shannon’s possession were multiple stolen credit cards and driver’s licenses. Shannon was arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
