PERRIS – A case of identity theft reported to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station on October 13, 2016, led to the arrest of five Perris residents. The report indicated that an Orange County resident’s identity including personal banking information was unlawfully acquired by Perris residents. Through investigation, investigating deputies learned that multiple suspects stole money from the victim’s bank accounts.
Deputies served a search warrant on November 30th to a home in the 3300 block of Appalachian Drive in the City of Perris. Evidence of the crime was recovered and Veronica Jose, 50, and Kenneth Walker, 44, were arrested. Both Jose and Walker were found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
The investigation continued, leading to a second search warrant served on December 8th to a home in the 500 block of Celebration Lane in the City of Perris. Additional evidence was uncovered that linked Margie Carballido, 38, to the thefts. Evidence was also located that revealed that Carballido had created a false identity for herself to open dozens of fraudulent credit accounts at various businesses. Pablo Carballido, 52, and David Solorio, 37, were also arrested for probation violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
