Fort Irwin Man Arrested for Murdering His Wife

FORT IRWIN, Ca. – A Fort Irwin man was arrested for the murder of his wife, authorities said.

Ervin Padgett, 37, was hospitalized on Monday, November 30, 2020. As a result of his hospitalization, the hospital called the Fort Irwin Police requesting a welfare check on his wife, Rebecca Padgett, 34, at their home in the 5200 block of Chuckawalla Court. When the arrived they found Rebecca dead with a gunshot wound. It was determined that Ervin was responsible for her death. 

Ervin was arrested for the murder of his wife. Ervin was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada by the  Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and will be returned to California upon completion of his extradited proceedings.
