VICTORVILLE – Four men were arrested after numerous commercial burglaries throughout Victorville and Apple Valley on Thursday. Authorities said that the crime spree took place during an approximately 2-hour long time period. At around 3:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017, the four male suspects arrived in a parking lot at Roy Rogers and Civic Drives. They were driving a 2015 Hyundai that parked in front of a restaurant, where all four suspect got out of the vehicle.
The suspects separately went to three different businesses and attempted to smash the front glass doors to each. They were able to get into two of the businesses and removed property, get back into the vehicle, and leave. Deputies from the Victorville Station attempted to pull the vehicle over near the location, but the driver failed to yield. The vehicle was stopped utilizing a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) maneuver. Four subjects, Wendell Price, 28, of Bellflower, Tyler Baughman, 22, of Long Beach, Charles Shelton, 24, of Long Beach, and Joshua Wise, 19, of Long Beach were detained without further incident.
Through further investigation, deputies discovered the same suspects had burglarized and attempted to burglarize six businesses in Victorville and two in Apple Valley. The four are believed to be linked to other High Desert burglaries. The suspects were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for conspiracy to commit a felony, with a gang enhancement, burglary, and receiving known stolen property.
The rash of recent commercial burglaries has led the Victorville Police Department to realign resources to identify and capture those responsible for these crimes.
On January 6, 2017, at approximately 2:32 a.m., a male subject entered a convenience store on Bear Valley Road and pointed a handgun at the clerk. The clerk was forced behind the counter as three additional men entered. The subjects stole multiple items from the store, as well as personal property from the clerk, before fleeing the location.
On January 18, 2017, at 2:38 a.m., four male subjects were captured on video surveillance at a restaurant on Bear Valley Road. One subject is seen breaking the glass door. All four entered and attempt to burglarize the business.
Detectives conducted an extensive investigation into the incidents and on February 23, 2017, the following suspects were arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center, in connection to the crimes.

- Mykeyan Taylor, 18-year-old Victorville resident – Robbery
- Male Juvenile, 17-year-old Victorville resident – Robbery, Burglary
- Male Juvenile, 17-year-old Victorville resident – Burglary
• Male Juvenile, 16-year-old Victorville resident – Burglary
