HIGHLAND – A traffic collision occurred in the Highland Grove Elementary school on Thursday afternoon. Deputies from the Highland Station responded to the school and learned that the driver of the vehicle, despite traffic control signals, collided with the curb, drove over it, and went into the school parking lot. The driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with another motorist who was picking up their children from school.
No injuries were reported as a result of this collision. The Highland Police Department would like to remind all drivers to obey all traffic laws in school zones. Deputies will continue their increased traffic enforcement in these areas to keep school zones safe.
