INDIO – Indio residents were temporarily unable to reach emergency services by dialing 911. The telephone line problem began just after 5:00 p.m., CHP officials said.
Frontier, the provider was able to respond to and resolve the matter. At around 6:25 p.m. the local 911 calls went to the Inland CHP Communication Center. The lines remained down until 7:50 p.m.
The cause of the outage is not available at this time. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
