Hatchet-Wielding Riverside Man Arrested After Road Rage Incident on Delivery Driver

 

RIVERSIDE – A hatchet-wielding Riverside man was arrested for a road rage incident against a delivery service driver.

On Saturday, September 1, 2018, at around 6:42 p.m., officers responded to the 8300 block of Manhasset Street in response to the report of an assault on the delivery driver. The driver and suspect were involved in a road rage incident. The suspect followed the driver to one of his stops and after exiting his vehicle, swung a hatchet at him while yelling out derogatory names.

The suspect, Blake Baldwin, 21, was detained by Riverside police and the hatchet was recovered. Baldwin was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and a hate crime violation
