AZUSA – A Saturday evening 210 freeway traffic collision involving a motorcycle claimed the life of a 63-year-old Helendale man CHP officials said.
At around 5:10 p.m. the now, deceased man was riding his 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the carpool lane just west of Cerritos Avenue. Traffic was moving at reduced speeds due to a stalled Toyota 2017 RAV4 in the carpool lane ahead. The rider apparently did not see the stalled vehicle, crashed into the vehicle, and was subsequently ejected from his motorcycle into the lanes of traffic. After landing into the lanes of traffic, the man was struck by a vehicle ultimately landing in the #2 lane of traffic.
Emergency medical personnel responded to rush the man to Pomona Valley Medical Center where he died as a result of traumatic injuries. No other injuries were injured as a result of the collision.
