HESPERIA – A 60-year-old Hesperia man is out on $250,000 bail after being arrested on Monday morning for a sex crime involving his five-year-old relative.
Deputies responded to a Cottonwood Avenue home in the City of Hesperia and learned that the child had been in the suspect, William Casey’s care on several occasions. The victim’s mother called police when she learned of the alleged sexual abuse involving her child while in Casey’s care.
Authorities do not believe that there are any other victims. William Casey was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under the age of 14. Casey was released at a 5:11 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
