HESPERIA – A 42-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for ongoing sex crimes with a child under 14 years of age. At around 10:47 a.m. deputies from the Hesperia Station responded to Desert Valley Hospital for a suspected sex crime against a child. Deputies learned that the acts took place over several years at the victim’s home, where the suspect also lived.
A search warrant was obtained and served at the Hesperia home of Omar Khayyan Watson. Watson was located and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 and Oral Copulation. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday afternoon.
Hesperia Station officials said that they do not have any reason to believe that there may be any other victims.
