HESPERIA – A 32-year-old Hesperia man lost his life in a single motorcycle traffic collision in Hesperia on Saturday.
At around 2:15 a.m. dispatchers received a report of a single motorcycle collision with two male patients down in the roadway on Timberlane Avenue just south of Smoketree Street.
Upon arrival, they located 32-year-old Luis Rosales lying on the roadway unconscious and bleeding. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:47 a.m.
The 54-year-old male, identified as Todd Gareau was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Per scanner traffic deputies said that Rosales was the driver of the motorcycle and Gareau was a passenger, but friends believe Rosales was walking at the time of the collision.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.
