HESPERIA – A Hesperia mother and her roommate have been arrested in connection with the death of an 8-month-old Hesperia boy officials said.
On Saturday, December 10, 2016, at around 10:30 a.m. deputies responded to a call reporting that the infant male was not breathing at the home located in the 18100 block of Westlawn Street. When deputies from the Hesperia station and emergency medical personnel responded they determined that the baby boy was deceased.
Deputies spoke with the baby’s mother, 29-year-old Terra Janette Frederick, and her roommate, 22-year-old Keli’l Kenneth Boiser. Following the interview and based on the evidence at the scene, Homicide Detectives were called to the scene to assume the investigation. The following day, Frederick and Boiser were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Willful Cruelty to a Child Causing Death.
According to county inmate records, Frederick is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday afternoon. There is no arrest record available for Boiser at this time.
The case was forwarded to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office for the filing of charges.
