VICTORVILLE – The mother of a 15-year-old girl learned that her child was having a sexual relationship with her club soccer coach after looking through her text messages authorities said.
The incident was reported on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at around 9:40 p.m. to the Victorville Police Department. The mother of the teen learned of the illegal relationship with Victor Rodriguez, 25, of Victorville. Authorities learned that the two had been involved in a relationship for over a year. According to the news release, Rodriguez was detained at his apartment home located at 14344 McArt Road and taken to the Victorville Police Department to be interviewed. Following the interview, Rodriguez was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for sodomy, lewd and lascivious acts with a child, and oral copulation. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Friday, May 11, 2018.
Rodriguez was a coach for 14-15-year-old girls with High Desert Youth Soccer League. Detectives believe that there may be other victims.
