CALIMESA – Calimesa Police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on the morning of Thursday, May 10, 2018. Shortly after 6:35 a.m. officers arrived at the home on the 8600 block of Calimesa Boulevard in Calimesa. When they arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and lying on the floor inside the home. The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Scott Beck, 57, was taken into custody at the location and arrested for attempted murder. He was booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Investigator Lane at the Cabazon Station at (951) 922-7100.
