HIGHLAND – A 45-year-old Highland man was arrested for the possession of a stolen quad on Thursday. The theft was reported at around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016, and the reporting party told dispatchers that the quad was stolen the day before.
Deputies responded to a home on the 7800 block of San Francisco Street in Highland to make contact with a possible suspect. When they arrived they made contact with Rafael Hernandez. When speaking briefly with Hernandez, he told deputies that he had purchased the quad and quickly began to run back into the home.
Deputies quickly detained Hernandez and served a search warrant at the home where they located the stolen quad. Hernandez was booked into the Central Jail for possession of stolen property.
