COLTON, Calif. – A 52-year-old man was arrested after fleeing the scene of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Wednesday.
At around 12:56 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, police and emergency medical personnel responded to the 1200 block of N. 8th Street in the City of Colton for a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. When they arrived they located the 23-year-old woman, who was suffering from blunt force trauma. Colton Fire and AMR responded to the scene but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, Chamney that fled the scene before police arrived. The driver was located and arrested. The Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) arrived to assume the investigation.
