APPLE VALLEY – Deputies from the Apple Valley Station responded to the report of male victim bleeding and not breathing on the 12600 block of Apple Valley Road Wednesday morning.
At 6:37 a.m. the reporting party told the dispatcher, per scanner traffic that he found his friend lying on the couch cold and bleeding. He said that there was a bullet hole in a pillow that the male victim was found holding but it did not appear as though the bullet hit the victim. The male victim was pronounced dead just before 6:50 a.m.
“Homicide Investigators are now on scene conducting a death investigation,” said San Bernardino County Spokeswoman, Cindy Bachman. Bachman also confirmed to a 24/7 Headline News reporter that the victim is in fact male and that additional information will be provided at the conclusion of the investigation.
It is unknown if there are any suspects or a person of interest in or out of custody. The identity of the victim and cause of death will be determined by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner.
