INDIO HILLS – A 55-year-old Indio Hills man was arrested for the theft of water late Monday morning. The investigation into the theft of approximately 80,000 gallons of water, valued at approximately $24,000 was conducted by Thermal Station deputies with the assistance of the Coachella Valley Water District.
Investigations led deputies to the arrest of Baltazar Arias in the 31-200 block of Northwood Road. Baltazar is now facing utility theft charges. The Riverside Sheriff’s Department wants to remind the public to report suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
