VICTORVILLE – Deputies from the Victorville station responded to the report of a possible robbery at the Chevron Extra Mile located at 14250 Bear Valley Road near Mall Boulevard.
At around 3:32 a.m. dispatchers received the report indicating that the store clerk was inside the restroom when he heard a loud bang.
When he walked out he witnessed the suspect, described as a man who was around 6’ tall, and 170 pounds fleeing the store. He was wearing blue bandana covering his face, a black hooded jacket, blue pants and a camouflage backpack.
The store employee heard a vehicle behind the store start and speed away but did not see the suspect vehicle.
It is unclear if anything was stolen from the store or if a suspect is in custody at this time. Reports of a possible weapon are unconfirmed at this time.
A 24/7 Headline News reported attempted to make contact with the Victorville police department Friday morning for additional information but they were not immediately available for comment.
