BAKERSFIELD, Ca. – Kern County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help to identify two armed robbery suspects.
On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at around 8:19 p.m. deputies were called to Columbus Market located on Alta Vista Drive in Bakersfield. When deputies arrived, the suspects had already fled from the scene. The store clerk reported that the two males, both wearing masks were believed to be black. One was armed with a shotgun. An employee grabbed a shotgun but a suspect pulled it away causing injuries.
The employee drew a handgun and fired once toward the suspects. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
