PALM SPRINGS – The life of a 39-year-old La Puente man was lost after he drowned in a pool at the Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs, Sheriff’s officials said. On July 3rd just after 5:20 p.m. emergency medical personnel responded to the hotel located at 1800 East Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs.
Upon arrival, they located the man, identified as Eric Perez who was lying unconscious at the poolside with his friends who were frantically attempting to resuscitate him. Prior to finding him at the pool bottom, Perez and his friends were hanging out at the pool when they noticed Perez was nowhere around. They began searching for him, finding him at the bottom of the pool.
Perez was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 5:55 p.m. The Palm Springs Police are conducting an investigation, but they do not believe any foul play was involved in the death of Mr. Perez.
