SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – A 39-year-old Lake Elsinore man was pronounced dead on the 215 freeway as he walked in the lanes of traffic early Wednesday morning.
At around 3:11 a.m., the man, who is yet to be identified was walking across the lanes of traffic on the southbound I-215, north of 9th Street. Donald Weber, 49, of San Bernardino, was driving his white 2005 Chevrolet Express also southbound, north of 9th Street. As Mr. Weber drove, he struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The identity of the deceased man will be released once his family has been notified.
