LAKE ISABELLA, Ca. – A Lake Isabella man was arrested for the attempted murder of a man and a woman earlier this week.
On March 30, 2020, at around 8:45 p.m., deputies from the Kern County Station responded to the Dollar General, located at 2326 Webb Avenue in Lake Isabella regarding an assault. When they arrived they found a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to his face and his back. He was airlifted to the hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition. The female suffered only minor injuries.
Through investigation it was learned that the suspect was in the 2100 block of Young Avenue, possibly the scene of the attempted murder. When deputies arrived at the home they made contact with Darrin Tannehill, 23. Tannehill was arrested and booked into jail for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
