VICTORVILLE, Calif. – An 83-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada woman was killed in a traffic collision in the City of Victorville.
On Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 3:53 p.m. deputies from the Victorville station and Victorville Fire Department personnel responded to the area of Silica Drive and Seventh Avenue. When they arrived they located the two sedans with major damage and two injured. Gladys Bettencourt, a backseat passenger, sustained major injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where she died as a result of her injuries. One other person was also transported to the hospital by ground ambulance.
The roadway was closed for several hours while the cause of the collision was being investigated.
