VICTORVILLE – The Victor Valley Rescue Mission is starting with the “giving” to the community as part of Thanksgiving celebrations this year.
The Victor Valley Rescue Mission is hosting “Great Thanksgiving Banquet” on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Victor Valley High School located at 16350 Mojave Drive. The event will include plenty of fun for both adults and for children, including face painting, crafts, live music, a bounce house, gifts, and a Thanksgiving meal. The following day, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, the Family Assistance Program located at 15075 7th Street in the City of Victorville will be hosting a community Thanksgiving meal from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Anyone in the community in need is welcome to attend.
In addition to this event, The Lord’s Table at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, located on 6th and C Street in the City of Victorville will serve Thanksgiving Dinner to all those in need on Thursday, November 23, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
First Assembly of God located at 15260 Nisquali Road in the City of Victorville is hosting a Thanksgiving outreach on Thursday, November 23, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church will also be collecting and distributing items including sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, towels, washcloths, and toiletries to those in need.
My Baked Buns Jamaican Restaurant and Bakery will also be serving a Thanksgiving meal to those in need, including the homeless on Thanksgiving Day from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. My Baked Buns Jamaican Restaurant and Bakery is located at 15505 7th Street in the City of Victorville.
