ADELANTO, Ca. – A Lucerne Valley man was arrested after attempting to flee the scene of a traffic collision.
On Thursday, February 18, 2021, at around 7:06 a.m. Victor Valley Station deputies responded to the area of US-395 and Air Expressway for the report of a major-injury traffic collision. When they arrived they found a badly damaged 2002 Dodge truck and a 2003 Toyota Corolla. Through investigation it was learned that Benjamin Mondragon, 31, was driving westbound on Air Expressway approaching US-395 in a 2002 Dodge truck. Mondragon and three other men who were inside of his truck ran from the scene. All four were located. Mondragon was arrested for injury hit and run.
