POMONA-Chino Police pursues a suspect’s vehicle at a high rate of speed into the city limits of Pomona. On November 29, 2016, at approximately 8:30 a.m. the suspect of the fleeing vehicle lost control, crashing into the San Antonio Creek Channel wash basin. Chino Fire confirmed that the suspect of the fleeing vehicle was dead at the scene.
The Chino Police Department is currently investigating the incident, while the Pomona Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the traffic collision. The suspect’s identity has yet to be disclosed by authorities.
