PALM SPRINGS – The Palm Springs Police officials are seeking information to help them locate a male suspect who scratched an anti-Trump message on the hood of a vehicle and when confronted, threatened the victim with a knife. The incident occurred on Monday morning in the 200 block of South Indian Canyon Drive near Bill’s Pizza.
The suspect, a white man, in his 50’s with average build and short gray hair was observed smashing out the window of the victim’s vehicle with a rock. He then scratched the anti-Trump message on the vehicle and threatened the victim when confronted police said. The victim pepper sprayed the suspect, who was wearing no shirt and dark shirts causing him to flee on a red bicycle.
The turquoise colored pepper spray was left on the suspect’s face following the incident. He was contacted near Alejo Road and Indian Canyon and rode his bike away southbound on Indian Canyon. If seen, the possibly armed and dangerous suspect should not be confronted and 911 should be called.
