VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A Victorville man was found guilty of the 1st-degree murder last week for the brutal killing of his 35-year-old girlfriend.
On Wednesday March 15, 2017, at around 8:26 p.m. deputies responded to numerous calls reporting an altercation in the southwest parking lot at Hook Park, in the City of Victorville. The suspect, Walter Alfonso Gonzalez Maravilla, 25, a transient, attempted to flee in Tejada’s vehicle but was quickly taken into custody. Tejada died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
The jury found Maravilla guilty of found of 1st-degree murder and is scheduled to be sentenced on December 6, 2019.
