Man Airlifted After Being Shot by Masked Suspect

ADELANTO – A woman frantically called 911 on Wednesday night reporting that her boyfriend had been shot by an unknown male suspect.

At around 9:53 p.m. deputies from the Victor Valley Station and emergency medical personnel responded to the 12000 block of White Avenue to aid the victim and investigate the shooting. Per scanner traffic, the victim was able to tell authorities that a masked man of a Black man with his face covered approached him and shot him. The male suspect fled on foot with three other suspects leaving the man injured and moaning in anguish.

The man was transported to Southern California Logistics Airport in the City of Victorville in preparation to be airlifted to a trauma center for treatment of his injuries. The victim was awake and breathing when transported. The male victim told authorities that he was sitting on his couch when someone knocked at the door. He answered and the four black men rushed into his home. They grabbed jewelry from his neck and shot him in the upper chest area.

They attempted to locate the suspects using a K-9, but were unable to locate them. The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
