Man Allegedly Responsible for Multiple Coachella Valley Vehicle Burglaries Arrested

BERMUDA DUNES – A man who authorities said was involved in multiple vehicle burglaries throughout the Coachella Valley was arrested last week. Christian Slocum was arrested following a search warrant on Thursday, February 9, 2017, in the 78500 block of Avenue 42 in Bermuda Dunes.

The investigation by the Coachella Community Action Team, and Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District Team led to the search warrant of the property. While searching authorities recovered property taken from at least 7 vehicle burglaries in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Bermuda Dunes, that occurred between November 2016 and February 2017.

Property with an estimated value of over $30,000 was found at the home. The property included laptop and tablet computers, GPS navigation systems, cellular phones, several sets of golf clubs, jewelry, and high end cameras. Slocum was arrested and booked into the Indio jail for felon in Possession of Ammunition, multiple counts of Possession of Stolen Property, and Vehicle Burglary.

The La Quinta Police Department will be vigilant in investigating all crimes of this nature. This investigation is ongoing and we are asking anyone with additional information to contact Officer Lindewall at the Thermal Sheriff Station at 760-86
