RIVERSIDE, Calif. – A 22-year-old Ontario man was arrested for vandalism in the Arlanza neighborhood of Riverside on Thursday morning.
At around 6:15 a.m., dispatchers received a report of a family disturbance in the 4400 block of Warren Street. The caller said that his distraught adult brother was armed with a knife. He was attempting to enter the home and threw a large rock through one of the windows. Officers arrived and detained him without further incident.
Through investigation, it was learned that besides for the damage to the window, the suspect had slashed the tires of over 60 vehicles in the neighborhood. Ronald Vermeulen was arrested and booked into jail for vandalism.
