VICTORVILLE, Calif. – Deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the Bank of America located in the 12600 block of Amargosa Road for an attempted robbery on Friday morning.
The suspect, later identified as Keishawn Brown, 21, of Hesperia, went into the Bank of America at around 10:28 a.m. and passed a note to the teller demanding money. Employees at the bank contacted authorities as he was still inside. “He left the bank and ran but deputies were on scene and promptly took him into custody,” said San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Spokeswoman, Cynthia Bachman.
Brown did not gain access to any money before running out of the bank. Detectives believe that Brown may have been involved in a similar bank robbery that occurred on July 11, 2019, at the Wells Fargo Bank located on the15300 block of Roy Rogers Drive.
