RIVERSIDE – A 29-year-old Perris man was arrested for stealing from women that he met on an online dating site. The investigation began in the City of Riverside in November when the suspect, Oscar Mandujano-Quinonez, also known as “Manny” met with a woman he met online. Mandujano-Quinonez and the woman were in his vehicle when he had her step out of the vehicle. Mandujano fled the scene leaving the victim, while her purse and other belongings remained inside of his vehicle.
Through investigation, it was revealed that Mandujano-Quinonez had a warrant issued for his arrest for a similar incident in Moreno Valley during the summer of 2016. Authorities also learned that there was at least one additional victim and Mandujano-Quinonez as listing the victim’s property for sale online. During a search of Mandujano-Quinonez’ home, evidence of the crimes was collected, including belongings of others believed to be victims.
The investigation continued and on Monday evening, Mandujano-Quinonez was arrested after going to a local park where he believed he was to meet another potential victim who he was communicating with online. Mandujano-Quinonez was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for 2 counts of grand theft. Anyone with further information is asked to contact Detective Bryon Adcox at (951) 235-7863.
