WEST COVINA – A 46-year-old East Los Angeles man has been charged for the October 13th stabbing of his ex-girlfriend and her adult daughter officials said.
Eduardo Marin was accused of breaking into his girlfriend’s home in the 3100 block of South Adrienne Drive in the City of West Covina last Thursday. After entering the home Marin allegedly stabbed her multiple times in front of their young son.
The victim’s daughter attempted to intervene and was also injured by Marin. After the stabbing, the defendant Marin fled the scene but turned himself in soon after.
Marin was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count each of attempted murder, injuring a child’s parent, first-degree burglary, and cruelty to a child by endangering health. Marin also faces the special allegations of personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon, a knife, during the commission of the crime and committed great bodily injury on the victim under circumstances involving domestic violence.
If convicted as charged, Marin faces 15 years to life in prison.
