Man Dies As a Result of Single-Vehicle Motorcycle Crash in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY – A 63-year-old man lost his life in a traffic collision late Monday night. Hanspeter Wahl was riding his black 2007 Harley Davidson on Outer Highway 18 North near the intersection of Valley Drive when he struck a curb for unknown reasons.

Wahl was ejected from his motorcycle as a result of the collision and suffered major injuries. He was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center where despite life-saving efforts he died as a result of his injuries.

The collision is currently under investigation by the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT). Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Deputy Thomas Bechtol at 760-240-7400.
